Re: Failed to get host-alive check for host

Hi Robbie, could you meanwhile develop a fix for the problem? Kind Regards, Juergen Thank you so much. I am however aware of the NEMS MIgrator issue now with 1.5.2, and am actively working on a fix. Watch the site for Build 2, at which point you can run a sudo nems-quickfix on your dev unit to get t...

packet size of ping-command to high

Hi, I´m using NEMS on an RPi2 Model B, NEMS Linux version 1.5.1. I have a problem to check some IoT-Devices using the ping-check-command. I found out, that the devices didn´t respond to packet-sizes bigger then 42 Bytes on Linux-OS-Level. Default is 56 Bytes. How can I adjust the packet-size in the ...

Re: Failed to get host-alive check for host

Hi Benny,
I think, you can exclude the service from the nems-host.

Re: Failed to get host-alive check for host

Hi,
there is actually no patch available to solve it.
I´m waiting for that.
I have still version 1.5.1 running.
If you have not so much devices, you can create them new on the fresh v. 1.5.2

Re: Failed to get host-alive check for host

Hi Robbie,
okay, thanks for the quick answer.
I have on my "productive" NEMS still 1-5-1 running.
1-5-2 is only on my dev-Pi.
If you want, I can give you further informations.

Re: Failed to get host-alive check for host

I can indeed confirm, that there are services missing.
On some Server, where I check e. g. http, I also check icmp. And icmp is missing after fixing.

Re: Failed to get host-alive check for host

Hi,

I tried it out, but if I do it on that way, it kills nearly 50% of my services, what I want to check.
First, I had 91 services

and after cycling the host-preset i have only 47 (see attachments)

Re: Failed to get host-alive check for host

To follow up one more level. Check and see what host-preset is being used for the host where you are getting the error. If there isn't one, select one. If there is one, then find that in the host-presets menu. Make sure it has a good "host alive check" filled in. I don;t remember that the...
