Re: Failed to get host-alive check for host
I have an issue that i did not expect. Few months ago i set up my NEMS server from scratch with version 1.5.2. This because i had issues upgrading from 1.5.1 to 1.5.2. Today i had to re-install 1.5.2 and do a restore from my last daily backup (1.5.2). All looks good except when i try to change the c...

Re: Failed to get host-alive check for host
Thank you Juergen. You pointed me in the right direction. Now I managed to remove these two unused services.
Regards, Benny.

Re: Failed to get host-alive check for host
Hi Juergen,
Thanks for your answer. I followed up your advice to newly configure 1.5.2 but now i run into a new issue.
On the NEMS server i see two new checks: Room Humidity and Room Temperature.
Because my RPI does not give this info. How could i disable these checks?
Regards, Benny.

Re: Failed to get host-alive check for host
Hi, I have the same issue here. Because my SD card in my RPI with version 1.5 was corrupted i installed the latest version 1.5.2 on a new card and restored the backup file. All seemed to be okay until i added a new host and tried to generate a new Nagios Config. Then i got this error: [ERROR] Failed...

RE: How to check if my website returns HTTP 200
Eureka!
I created a second Advanced Service based on check_http with the parameter '-f sticky' for the hostgroup.
Works great at least for me ;)

How to check if my website returns HTTP 200
I'm running NEMS version 1.5 build 8 on a Raspberry Pi3b+ to monitor a few websites. I am checking if the server is UP and if the Let's Encrypt certificates are renewed in time. I did the configuration of NEMS according the following document: https://magazine.odroid.com/article/intr...ems-linux/ ...

RE: Can NEMS check https/ssl on a server where ping is blocked?
It took me a few days of puzzeling and getting acquainted with NEMS/Nagios but I think I found the solution. Under Misccommands i created a check_host_alive_tcp with the following command line: $USER1$/check_tcp -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -p 80. Under Host presets I selected the check_host_alive_tcp in stead ...

Can NEMS check https/ssl on a server where ping is blocked?
Hi, Yesterday i installed NEMS version 1.5 on a Raspberry Pi2b to monitor a few websites. Most important for me is if the Let's Encrypt certificates are renewed in time. Sometimes this renewal failed and it took too long before i was aware. As far as i see now, NEMS is the solution for me to monito...
