This looks like  a similar issue that I have where after a Backup.nems file was installed only NEMS was listed in the Hostgroups. Did a sudo nems-init and it came back but yes, I lost the configuration.

Ran the quick-fix, did another restore. All is good now.

My hosts are there and acessible. Kind of strange that even with the error everything seems ok.
