Re: Windows 2004 breaks WMI plus plugin

Thanks. Okay all. Here's what I'm going to do: I'm going to take over development on the WMIC implementation within NEMS Linux. This needs fast resolution, and with so few people signing the petition, I am not confident it will be fixed in time for this month's beta release of NEMS Linux 1.6. If you...

Please sign the petition. URGENT: Users of #NEMSLinux and @nagiosinc at large, Microsoft is making changes that could mean the end of agentless monitoring on Windows hosts. Please sign the petition to redevelop check_wmi_plus and support them through donations: https://edcint.co.nz/checkwmiplus/expr...

Re: check_qnap Parameters

I haven't yet tested it, but plan to before NEMS Linux 1.6 releases - but yes, I imagine you have to enable SNMP on the QNAP device. You'll find it somewhere in the config. Please post back if you figure it out and I'll add your note to the docs.

Cheers.

Re: Http commands

Sounds like this could be a job for the NEMS API. Do you know how to code stuff? Are the triggers host-specific? I.E., is it "If host 1 goes down, do this. If host 2 goes down, do that." Or is it more "If anything is down, do this"? If it's anything, Marshman is right that Warnin...

Re: NEMS Adagios exposes passwords on screen

Hi Taomyn, When you configure your WMI user on your Windows host, you will configure it to only have access to WMI. That account should be a one-trick pony. Your screenshot clearly demonstrates why it is imperative that a user never enter their standard computer user credentials for a check with WMI...

Re: Help with WMI

Thanks Marshman. Merged your clarification to the docs. I appreciate you clarifying that for the users. It's easy to take for granted that users know what they need to do and how to do it, yet it would just take one person entering 'administrator' as their remote user to raise some very serious conc...

Re: Problems getting started

Thanks kindly. Yeah, anything less than a Pi 3 B+ is really just to show off that it can be done. I wouldn't use it in production. :P Yes, 8GB RAM is overkill. So yes, as a self-respecting sysadmin, you should get it. Haha! I'd say 4 GB RAM would be fine. But as with anything, you will get better pe...
