Status information in 1.5
When you look in nagios core, or adiagos, you'll see a status line for each host. Usually something like PING OK - Packet loss = 0%, RTA = 0.61 ms That is what get this in my 1.4.1 config. In my 1.5 I get (No output on stdout) stderr: I've attached a couple files with screen snips. Clearly someth...

RE: New notifications in 1.5
Answering my own post. I guess this explains why I am always talking to myself. On the discord channel - and got the answer to this one straight up. Hopefully someone finds this useful. From the BN himself: Edit notify_host_by_email as follows: $USER1$/nems_sendmail_host "$NOTIFICAT IONTYPE$&qu...

New notifications in 1.5
So, I just imported all my stuff from 1.4.1 to 1.5 - and it just worked. Very cool. It might have worked too well in fact - I think it brought over my old notification formats, and I was hoping for the nifty new HTML notifications for 1.5 There is probably something simple I am overlooking, but how ...

Just migrated to 1.5....
Just imported about 50 hosts and a hundred or so services from 1.4.1 to 1.5 - and they just moved over flawlessly. There some stock stiff, some custome stuff. Not crazy complicated. but not dead simple either. It just works. Nice Job!!

RE: bad choices in administrator account names
Odd you should mention this just now. This past weekend I went to 1.4.1 and rebuilt from scratch. Along the way I tidied up a number of things I wish I had done a bit differently to start with.
It worked out for me.

RE: Connecting NEMS to a TV, is it possible?
Well I just upgraded to 1.4.1 from 1.3. I've been on all of the versions for a long time, but it kind of stalled out on 1.3 for a while. So far I'm totally digging what I see. I really kind of like the nems TV, I have a little Pi 7-inch monitor that it would work just great on. I've got it deployed ...

NEMS and and IOT home network
I had played with various monitoring tools on and off for a very long time. Nagios and I had had an on again off again relationship for years. I am a Network technologist (Security and Architecture) by trade, I can hold my own at a Linux CLI. That said, a full Nagois suite, and the accompanying comp...

Long time nems user, trying the upgrade to 1.4.x from 1.3.1 I'm doing this on a separate PI, so I can fool with it and not take an outage on the what is now I guess a legacy system, which is just cooking along. Install it and run the migrator. I think where I am having issues is that my old administ...

RE: Signal 11 (SEGV) caught by ps (3.3.12).
I'd not done any recent updates (shame on me). After poking at it for a few days I just re-imaged and problem solved. It may be a blunt technique, but it is sure effective. I'll just chalk this one up to gamma rays or something.
