[Request] [Closed] Nems without Cloud

Post by Premium »

Hi Robbie

I'll come back to the topic I shared with you on Twitter.

Current situation:
We have equipped 6 customers with NEMS. Now we want to bring them together on one screen.
I know the possibility of NEMS Cloud. I think that a great solution. Unfortunately our customers don't want their data to go to the cloud.

Future
Would it be possible for the data to reach our NEMS Linux server via Https? Or what would also be possible as .html file via FTP.
Then you could even go a step further and make an APP that displays the HTML file or RAW data of NEMS.

I am aware that the current situation is difficult for you, but I would appreciate your feedback
Greetings from Switzerland :)

Hi Premium,
NEMS Cloud Services is built to be uni-directional, and extremely secure.

I would need to know more about your setup, and what it is you actually need.

Ie., why are you not just running a single NEMS Linux server, and using it to monitor all of your customers? That way, you can monitor all on one screen, as you desire. Having separate NEMS Servers means separating them (each with its own screen). Or is it because the customer itself needs access?

Such a heavy customization could be available for hire. Ie., you/your customers could pay the development costs directly for a custom solution. That's an option, anyways.

I'd avoid a situation where you're trying to connect a bunch of NEMS Servers together without NEMS Cloud Services, since that means opening ports and giving outside access to your NEMS data. NEMS Cloud Services does not do this: it is encrypted with your key and cannot be accessed by anyone else. Plus, being unidirectional, it's read-only data.

Let me know how I can help, and more info about your needs.

Cheers,

Hello Robbie

I just looked at the great new documentation page and couldn't believe my eyes.

If that's what I think it'll be great ! #TheSelf-HostedNEMSCloud

Cheers! Yeah, NEMS is always growing and evolving. Through support of its users, I am able to implement new and exciting features. What might not be available one day could possibly be available in the future.

NEMS Mesh will be a very exciting shift in the distro.

Cheers!
