Newbie needs help

Post by pkfox »

Hi all, just installed NEMS on one of my pi3b+ boards and thought I'd experiment adding the cpu_usage as a watched service on another pi on my LAN however I receive connection refused error on my ip address port 12489 and trying it on a Win 10 box I get a socket timeout error - any ideas guys ?

I have the same problem with trying to connect NEMS to other hosts for CPU and other monitoring.  12489 is not allowed.

Same issue. I watched the NEMS presentation on youtube showing how effortless this install was. To see all these issues is very disheartening. Also it's troubling that there hasn't been a followup to this thread given it's creation date. I've followed the installation docs religiously. For my setup, I am trying to monitor another pi running the latest RaspberryPI distro at the time of this post. No firewall. There is no port other than 5666 listening on the client. Why is there port 12xxx connection attempts in the default linux-servers group?
