NEMS Tactical Overview sounds

Hi all,
I'm a newbie with NEMS, so please forgive me for a novice question.
I've got NEMS 1.5.2 up and running on a Pi 3 Model B, doing "check alive" tests on my home network devices.
The NEMS Tactical Overview (nems.local/nagiostv) is useful, but I'd like to switch off the spoken updates. There is a volume control symbol in the top right corner of the display but this doesn't do anything. I'm using Microsoft Edge on Windows 10, but the same happens on Chrome.
How do I switch off the spoken updates, please? (I know I can turn down the PC volume, but I'd prefer to just disable the sound for NagiosTV).
