Today I received a warning that on my NEMS (1.4.1) host the root partition was running low on diskspace.
I ssh'd in and found a wtmp file of 1.1G!
I also noticed that apparently no log rotation was taking place. As a matter of fact, 'logrotate' is not installed.
Is there some other service that should be running to take care of this?
Thanks.

Re: Running low on diskspace on root partition
Hi baggins,
Thanks for pointing this out. I always setup my own logrotate rules, but I will setup a default config moving forward (beginning with NEMS Linux 1.6), as it really does make sense to have that enabled by default.
I'll setup some basic rules on /var/log.
Cheers!

Re: Running low on diskspace on root partition
Update: I decided this was just too important to leave for a future release. It has been added as a patch to existing systems with a 7 day log cycle retaining 8 weeks worth of logs in a compressed state.
Thanks baggins.

Re: Running low on diskspace on root partition
My NEMS (1.4.1) host's root partition ran out of space today.
Using ssh, I found a 1.1G wtmp file.
I detected no log rotation. Logrotate isn't installed.
Should another service handle this? geometry dash
