Something must have gone wrong the first time... Now I have received confirmation from WeTransfer...

nems-mailtest runs fine.

As far as the notifications are concerned: nothing in my spam folder...

K let's not mix forum notifications here since it could get confusing for future readers. Maybe a new thread specifically for the forum?

I received the file just now, thanks.

However, this file does not reflect the changes I made... did nems-quickfix work okay?

Maybe try making a couple changes to your NEMS SST and then save, then change it back to your normal settings and save again.

Thanks! I'll also test NEMS SST at home tonight to make sure my changes stuck. :)

So I made some changes to NEMS SST, saved them and then reverted them and saved again. Still the same error.

nems-quickfix ran without complaining, asking to be patient... and then finished...

Thanks baggins - so now that you've done that with NEMS SST can you please re-send me your backup.nems file? :p

Got the new file, thanks baggins. This shows that the update I pushed out did not take. I'll have to dig into this on the weekend as it will take some local testing to see why this is.

Do you by any chance get any errors when you run sudo nems-update ? Just to rule that out.

Halfway the error messages switch from English to Dutch. No idea why...

Well, at least this explains why you're having trouble - your system can't connect to Github, which is where the updates come from.

Everyone else - do you get errors as well? Wondering if that is related to this issue or just a fluke.

baggins, what is the output of this command?

Code: Select all

cat /etc/resolv.conf

alerty please see the changelog. https://docs.nemslinux.com/changelogs/nems_1.3
  • January 19, 2018 - Some minor bugfixes on NEMS SST that load previously saved settings more correctly.
  • January 22, 2018 - NEMS-SST now saves null fields to resource.cfg. Resolves issue where Nagios can't read user macros beyond a missing incremental number.
To update and test:

Code: Select all

sudo nems-quickfix

Then open NEMS SST and press "Save".

Then, let me know if the "You must specify a 'from' field error is fixed or not. I still do not have confirmation whether this is the cause or not as I have not been able to replicate the issue.

Also, if you could let me know if you get any errors when running this command, as we are trying to see if it is related (it certainly is why baggins didn't get the update):

Code: Select all

sudo nems-update
Thanks!

Ok so did the quickfix and nems update, same config in SST but still have the issue. Same message yet a nems test email works fine.

Thanks
