Hey,

is it possible to allow an actual username instead of an email address for the username in the mail config.

And it would be great to have a "send test" button, maybe even with entering an specific email address, so you can test your config.

Good point - an SMTP username, while commonly an email address is not necessarily always an email address. This has been patched and pushed out.

This is already a feature: nems-mailtest

That said, the UI version ("button") is already on the list for NEMS 1.7.
