I would also love to see this, but it would require a large amount of coding, and there's a lot of room for error.

I have therefore added it as a goal to our Patreon page.

Since NEMS uses NConf for its config, I would imagine the best way to do this would be for me to write a cronjob to detect new hosts found on the network via nmap and provide some form of interface in NEMS to allow the user to add them to NConf, and then test and generate their config. Perhaps including an snmpwalk on the detected hosts to determine which services can be automatically added would be helpful too.

NEMS Linux is a hobby project, and this feature would be awesome to include, but would cost a lot (in hours) to develop. If you're not already doing so, please consider supporting the project on Patreon so I can eventually get to the place where I can afford to implement something so great as this.
