Is NEMS good for these?

Hello,
I just installed NEMS on Raspberry Pi 3B+ because I wish to monitor my network (ca. 20 devices). Before NEMS I tried ntopng in trial version and it was cool, but yearly license is just to expensive for that what I need.
I wish to know what devices are connected to my network with their machine name/MAC/IP address/(optionally) operating system and how much data they send and which protocols these devices used.
Can I use NEMS for that? Amount of options is so huge that I don't know where to start :/ Is NEMS collecting data automatically just after setup? and BTW for now I don't need any detailed information about devices thus I wish not to install anything on them.
